Meet Carmin Hernandez
Raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Carmin had no idea that her passion for food would take her on a beautiful journey. She started cooking for her 5 siblings as a young child, perfecting her craft of homemade traditional Mexican dishes.
After moving to Los Angeles, she began working in the restaurant industry and eventually decided to pursue her dream of opening her very own place. Mi Cocina Mexican Grill opened in April 2021, bringing a taste of traditional Mexican culture to La Verne, California. This women-owned business and family led restaurant strives to provide you and your family authentic Mexican food. Come try our handmade tortillas and our customers’ favorite, chile verde!
