CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITYAs part of the 9.1-mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project, KPJV crews are completing the final activities needed to fully rebuild the railroad crossing for the new light rail system on Garey Ave. in the city of Pomona.Due to the recent storms, this work requires a 7-day extension of the ongoing full closure of Garey Ave. at the railroad crossing - through Friday, March 24. Gold Line Update for March 2023
As of this month, the Glendora to Pomona project has reached 64% construction completion overall. In the past few months, crews completed the last of the project’s 19 bridges (the largest one on the project, over Lone Hill Ave. in Glendora), continued installation of the new light rail track and power systems, and began work on the platform for the Pomona Station – the last of the four new stations to start taking shape. They also fully closed Garey Ave. in the city of Pomona to complete reconstruction
